Team Genji

In a meeting with my father and William Collis, who then recently sold his company Gamer Sensei, we discussed the possibility of leveraging William’s, Genji Algorithm, which was able to spot the best players from any video game, in order to create our own Hearthstone and eSports team.   Thus, Team Genji was born.

Our team became the #1 Hearthstone team in the world, winning grandmaster tournaments and multiple championships.

Later on Team Genji, transitioned into Oxygen eSports and raised a $20m Series A round, before merging with Robert Kraft’s Boston Uprising Team.  And in Q4 2020, eSports Entertainment Group (publically traded as GMBL), acquired ggCircuit, and Helix eSports (the parent company of team Genji) for $43m.

GMBL stock price performance past 5 years

I had a small percentage in the company, yet the falling stock price, brought my share value down to just a few small Rotisserie Chicken’s from ShopRite.
